【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsestandardisdesignedforusetodeterminevariousfire-test-responsecharacteristics,includingignitabilityandheatreleaserate,fromcompositesofmattressesorfurniture,orcorrectionalfacilities,whichhavebeenvandalizedinaprescribedmannertoexposethefillingmaterial,byusingabenchscaleoxygenconsumptioncalorimeter.Thistestmethodprovidesformeasurementsofthetimetosustainedflaming,heatreleaserate,peakandtotalheatrelease,andeffectiveheatofcombustionataconstantradiantheatfluxof35kW/m2.See5.7forlimitations.Theapparatususedinthistestmethodisalsocapableofdeterminingheatreleasedataatdifferentheatfluxes.Thespecimenisorientedhorizontallyandasparkignitionsourceisused.Allfire-test-responsecharacteristicsaredeterminedusingtheapparatusandtheproceduresdescribedinTestMethodE1354.Thetestsaredoneonbench-scalespecimenscombiningthemattressorfurnitureouterlayercomponents.Frameelementsarenotincluded.Thevandalismissimulatedbycausingaprescribedcutontheouterlayerofthecomposite,deepenoughtoexposethefillingmaterialtotheincidentradiation.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautions,seeSection7.

【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsforcalculatingtheresin,fibreandvoidcontentsofacarbon-fibre-reinforcedcompositefromthedensitiesoftheresin,thefibreandthecompositeandthemassoffibreinthecomposite(methodA)andforcalculatingthefibrecontentfromthethicknessofthecomposite(methodB).MethodAspecifiesthreedifferentresinremovalproceduresforthedeterminationofthemassoffibreinthecomposite(vizacombustionprocedure,aprocedurebydigestioninnitricacidandaprocedurebydigestioninamixtureofsulfuricacidandhydrogenperoxide).Theselectionoftheproceduretobeusedismadebyconsideringthecombustibilityoftheresinusedinthecomposite,itsabilitytodecomposeandthetypeofresinconcerned.ItshouldbenotedthatmethodAisonlyoflimitedapplicabilitywhenfilledresinsarepresentthatcouldpreventcompletedissolutionand/orcombustibilityoftheresin.MethodB(thicknessmeasurementmethod)isonlyapplicabletocompositesmouldedfromprepregsofknownfibremassperunitarea.
