【摘要】:ThisstandardestablishesauniformrelationshipbetweenshaftsizeandkeysizeforparallelandtaperkeysretainingsimilarbasicsizingasfoundinthewithdrawnB17.1-1943standard.Thisstandardcoversthesize,typeandtolerancesofparallelandtaperkeysandkeyseats,andtheirrelationshiptoshaftdiametersandborediameters.Thesizesandtolerancescontainedinthisstandardareintendedforsinglekeyapplicationsonly.Keystrengthandsteelanalysisenteringintothemakeupofstockforkeysisnotwithinthescopeofthisstandard.Shaftdiametersarelistedforidentificationofvariouskeysizesandarenotintendedtoestablishshaftdimensions,tolerancesorselections,Thisstandardrecognizesthattherearetwoclassesofstockforparallelkeyspresentlyusedbyindustry.Oneisabroadnegativetolerancedbarstockandtheotherisacloseplustolerancedkeystock.Eachiscombinedwithappropriatekeyseattolerancestoestablishassemblies,respectively,designatedasClasses1and2.TaperkeysareestablishedforClass-2assemblyonly.
