【摘要】:Thistestmethodpermitsthedeterminationofverylowlevelsofchlorideioninenginecoolantscontainingthecommoncorrosioninhibitor,mercaptobenzothiazole,orrelatedmercaptans,whichwouldnormallyinterferewiththetitrationbyalsoforminginsolublesilversaltswithsilvernitrate.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofchlorideioninenginecoolantsintherangefrom5to200ppminthepresenceofupto0.6weight%mercaptobenzothiazole.1.2Othermaterialsthatreactwithsilverionwillinterfere.1.3Chlorideinenginecoolantscontaininganaryltriazoleinsteadofmercaptobenzothiazolecanbedetermineddirectlybythistestmethodwithoutpretreatmentwithhydrogenperoxide.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection7.
