【摘要】:1.1Thisguidedescribestechniquesthatmaybeusedtoquantifythesoil-water(orsoil-moisture)flux,thesoil-watermovementrate,and/ortherechargeratewithinthevadosezone.Thisguideisnotintendedtobeall-inclusivewithregardtoavailablemethods.However,thetechniquesdescribeddorepresentthemostwidelyusedmethodscurrentlyavailable.1.2Thisguidewaswrittentodetailthetechniquesavailableforquantifyingsoil-moisturefluxinthevadosezone.Thesedataarecommonlyrequiredinstudiesofcontaminantmovementandinestimatingtheamountofwaterreplenishingarenewableground-waterresource,thatis,anaquifer.Stateandfederalregulatoryguidelinestypicallyrequirethisinformationindefiningcontaminanttraveltimes,inperformanceassessment,andinriskassessment.Bothunsaturatedandsaturatedflowmodelersbenefitfromthesedatainestablishingboundaryconditionsandforuseincalibrationsoftheircomputersimulations.1.3Thisguideisoneofaseriesofstandardsonvadosezonecharacterizationmethods.Otherstandardshavebeenpreparedonvadosezonecharacterizationtechniques.1.4Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
